Jadiction.com can be browsed without signing in, except for editor and contribution tools. The site does not sell personal information and does not run a private user database for accounts, profiles, or EQOA browsing activity.
The site may still process limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, remember preferences, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and support contribution workflows.
Cookies and browser storage are used for practical site behavior, such as: theme preference, GitHub sign-in session state, topbar settings, EQOA editor drafts, EQOA map drafts, and map filter preferences.
Drafts and preferences stay in your browser unless you submit them, clear them, or your browser removes them. GitHub sign-in cookies/session state are used only so protected contribution tools can recognize signed-in contributors.
GitHub handles authentication. When you sign in, the site can receive basic GitHub profile details, granted scopes, and the access token needed to create or update contribution pull requests.
Translation submissions create or update pull requests in the Jadiction.com repository. EQOA editor and map submissions create or update pull requests in the public EQOA-Data repository. Submitted changes, descriptions, comments, and your GitHub identity may be visible on GitHub and in contributor sections if changes are accepted.
EQOA pages are built from public, open-source EQOA-Data files. Browsing guides, maps, information pages, and databases does not create a private Jadiction.com user record.
If you submit the feedback form, the name, email address, selected site area, and message you provide are sent to the site owner through Discord webhook notifications. Feedback is used to respond to reports, fix issues, and improve the site.
Feedback and contribution submissions may be checked for inappropriate content and protected with Cloudflare and CAPTCHA-like security measures to reduce spam and automated abuse. Standard hosting and service providers may process technical request data such as IP address, user agent, request path, timestamps, and security signals as part of operating and securing the site.
The site also relies on GitHub for authentication, repositories, pull requests, avatars, and some community discussion features.
If Google AdSense or other advertising products are enabled, those providers may use cookies or similar technologies to provide, measure, and improve ads. If ads are not shown, this section is included to clarify what would apply before advertising is enabled.
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services
The tools and EQOA resources are provided for convenience, preservation, and community reference. They may contain mistakes, stale data, or community-submitted information that needs review, so use them at your own discretion.
Use the site responsibly. Do not submit abusive, unlawful, spammy, malicious, privacy-invasive, or infringing material. I may remove, reject, or moderate submissions that harm the site, other users, or the project. Because contribution records are usually GitHub pull requests, some correction or removal requests may need to happen through GitHub.
The EQOA: Frontiers section is a fan-made reference project for EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers players and preservation-minded community members. EverQuest, EverQuest Online Adventures, EQOA: Frontiers, related names, images, game data, and other associated materials belong to their respective owners.
Jadiction.com is independent, unofficial, and not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by Daybreak Game Company, Sony Online Entertainment, or any other rights holder. EQOA resources are provided for informational, archival, and community reference purposes.
