Norgam, downstairs from Nothard, wants you to find Orcs wandering near town. Exit the north gate (Blacksmith) toward the grassland. Kill Orc Pawns (CON Yellow/White @3) until you receive two slashed Orc Pawn belts. Return to Captain Norgam.

- Iron Ore + Leather Strip — Purchase from Merchant Shohan (Bazaar near the Blacksmith)

The roads are plagued by highwaymen. Exit by the Blacksmith (north), follow the road, then head right to a grassy hill with a druid stone. Kill the highwaymen, loot their stolen goods, and return to Norgam.

Someone has placed a Chichan Eel in waters flowing to Freeport. Kill the eel (CON Yellow @7) and loot its venom sac. Exit north, run north along the river to the small house where the Orc Ransacker is. Kill, loot the venom sac, and return to Norgam.

Quest NPC: Captain Norgam
Norgam sends you to Guard Sareken at the North Gate by the bank. Gather 147 tunar and 3 Tough Pike Scales from the river north of Freeport (CON DB @10). Return to Sareken. Then, retrieve the cap of the Orc Ransacker from the small old shack north of FP. Kill the Orc (CON White @10), loot his belt, and return to Sareken.

Assist wizard Ilenar Crelwin in The Shining Shield guild hall. Deliver his robe to Delvin Stitchfinger in Bobble-by-Water for repair. Buy fine chocolates from Grocer Fritz Belgor (120–250 tunar) and return to Delvin. He gives back a chocolate-stained robe; deliver it to Ilenar. Ilenar gives a poisoned chocolate to give to Delvin. Kill Delvin, then return to Ilenar.

Ilenar requires several items for research:
- Nightworm Roots — Obtain from Dagget Klem in Temby (260 tunar). Kill Bloodfin Brood Shark Mother (CON Yellow @15) past the pier, loot tooth, and return to Dagget.
- Pay Dagget 260 tunar, collect nightworm roots, return to Ilenar.
- Blood of a Madman — Exit south of FP (coach), head south along the coast, kill a Madman (CON Yellow @15), loot blood, and return to Ilenar.
Return to Captain Norgam for reward.

Quest NPC: Captain Norgam
The Grimoire: Report to Ilenar Crelwin as an undercover agent. Retrieve Geldwin's Grimoire from the Temple of Light library west of Freeport.
Crim Arikson: Forge a letter by paying 525 tunar and obtaining a document from Sir Hanst's page, then return to Crim.
Amulet of Deception: Kill skeletons on Hangman's Hill east of Bobble-by-Water to obtain Swiftwind Galeehart's Amulet. Return to Ilenar with the amulet and forged letter.
The Library: Enter the Temple of Light library, present the forged letter to Leandro Novan, follow him to the forbidden texts, and complete quests for Praetor Gunner to obtain Geldwin's Grimoire.
Return to Norgam for your final reward: 2,814,929 XP. Choose between:
- Bellow: Powerful roar ability that greatly increases hit points, includes ensorcelled greataxe
- Pillar of Might: Powerful taunt that increases defense, includes ensorcelled longsword
