Level 1

Quest NPC: Marik McPherson
Marik asks you to get a Warrior's Tunic from Tailor Freya. It's free.

Level 2

Quest NPC: Marik McPherson
Marik sends you to Spiritmaster Kere who binds you and sends you to Coachman Dudley.

Level 3

Quest NPC: Marik McPherson
Marik wants you to kill rats. Go out of town and kill them until you have three rat furs.

Level 4

Quest NPC: Derry McQuaid
Derry will make you a new weapon if you get the following items for him:

  • Oilstone — Purchase from Merchant Mallie
  • Iron Ore — Purchase from Benen O'Leary
  • Ruined Bat Wing

Level 5

Quest NPC: Marik McPherson
Marik sends you to kill Freezeblood Wardens. They are located in Everfrost, southeast of the town entrance.

Level 7

Quest NPC: Marik McPherson

  1. Talk to Marik McPherson — he has 3 tasks. Head west by northwest from Halas.

    1.1 Kill a Freezeblood Icemaster (CONs white cons wht), loot ice axe.
    1.2 Kill a Freezeblood Icecrusher (CONs white cons wht), loot icycap.
    1.3 Find Misty Trailer and buy a Wolves of the North sash for 140 tunar.

    To find Misty: From Halas, run west along the mountains and look for a large stone monolith alone atop a hill. Go to it and face south — you should see two igloos on a patch of ice. Go south from the southern igloo. Soon you'll come to a small camp with three barbarians — Misty is here.

  2. Take all your items back to Marik McPherson — he rewards you.

Level 10

Quest NPC: Marik McPherson

  1. Talk to Marik McPherson — he sends you to Ferris McDougal to buy Burlap Thread for 145 tunar. Return to Marik.

    To find Ferris: From Halas, run west along the mountains and look for a large stone monolith alone atop a hill. Go to it and face south — you should see two igloos on a patch of ice. Go south from the southern igloo. Soon you'll come to a small camp with three barbarians — Ferris is here.

  2. Marik sends you to kill a White Owl (CONs white cons wht) for a feather. From Ferris's camp, go northwest. Search for the owl, kill it, loot the feather, return to Marik.

  3. Marik rewards you.

Level 13

Quest NPC: Eldar Joram

  1. Talk to Eldar Joram — he sends you to kill a Freezeblood goblin named Gunkat (CONs white cons wht).

    Directions: Head west from the Halas tunnel exit. Travel from one stone landmark to the next. Go past the three Barbarian guard towers and look for the stone remains of a building that is no longer there. Go west, up and over the hill next to you; as you come down the other side you will see one lone, well-guarded igloo.

  2. Kill Gunkat, loot two chests, return to Eldar Joram.

Level 15

Quest NPC: Eldar Joram

  1. Talk to Eldar Joram — he sends you to kill a Freezeblood goblin named Trukat (CONs white cons wht).

    To find Trukat: From Halas, run west along the mountains and look for a large stone monolith alone atop a hill. From the monolith, go west past the Barbarian guard towers and look for the stone remains of a building that is no longer there. From there, go west, up and over the hill next to you; on the other side you will see one lone well-guarded igloo. Trukat is on the hill opposite yours with the igloo.

    Kill him, loot knife.

  2. Get 495 tunar and go see Ferris McDougal. Buy:

    • Blued Bear Skin Fur
    • Blued Bear Skin Sash

  3. Return to Eldar Joram.

Level 20

Quest NPC: Marik McPherson

  1. Talk to Marik — he sends you to Deltor Cyclor. Exit Halas via the tunnel, head southeast to the river, follow the river; he is on the west bank.

  2. Deltor sends you to Yarn Icefrost. From Deltor's position, head due west to Yarn's igloo.

  3. Yarn sends you to Pratcher, who is in Diren's Hold, next to the Banker on the 2nd floor of a tower. Head back to the river and follow it south to Diren's Hold.

  4. Pratcher sends you to kill two Salmon (CONs white cons wht). They are in the river near Diren's Hold. Kill, loot 2, return to Pratcher.

  5. Pratcher sends you to Jarvan Tember, who is located on the mountain top next to Diren's Hold.

  6. Return to Marik — he sends you to Eldar Joram for your final reward and path choice.

Reward: ~2.8 million XP and a choice of:

  • Life Path: Blade of War and Pillar of Might
  • Strength Path: Bellow and a Sword of Rage
