🧭 Quest Name: Group 3, Level 30

📌 Requirements

  • Lvl 30
  • Completion of your Level 20 path quest

Head to Murnf and speak with Daresh, who is upstairs in the building west of the coach (for ease of quest completion, bind in Murnf). You are to find out everything you can from someone who works for an evil man named Bardif (without Bardif himself becoming aware of your enquiries) and about his kidnapped son Tarlin.

Go to Qeynos to speak with Bardif's butler, Mergmar. To find him: from the main gate, head west, then west again, south through the long hall, then the first east door. He sends you to a contact in Highpass.

Seek a dark elf named Pwin. Pwin can be found in the north section of HP, standing in the corral (the non-coach exit). Speak with him and report back to Daresh.

🔐 The Jailor

Daresh tells you that Pwin is associated with a small orc stronghold in Hate Spike. The Jailor there likely held the kidnapped boy overnight.

  • Head to Mt. Hate Spike (The Last Inn) (W). From the DM coach, go to the river and run north. Upon entering Hate Spike, go west up the first snowy valley to find the Bloodfoot Stronghold.
  • The Jailor (CONs darkblue cons db@30) is down the ramp, right side at the end of the hallway, on the right side of the cavern.
  • He is always up, not a triggered spawn.
  • Kill him, loot the Unintelligible Note, and return to Daresh.

⚠️ Bloodfoot Bandits see through invis.

💰 Ricser

Daresh sends you to an Inn where Bardif’s messenger is waiting. His name is Ricser.

  • Location: Lost Watch Fort
  • Coach to Wyndhaven, then run north ~5 minutes along the road (Wynd NW)
  • Pay Ricser 1,600 tunar and return to Daresh

💍 Ziliq

The note reveals Tarlin was taken to the Green Rift and met with Ziliq.

  • Ziliq (CONs darkblue cons db@30) is located in The Green Rift (W)
  • Coach to Bobble-by-Water, head west (long run, have SoW)
  • He is in a temple built into the side of the rift
  • Kill him, loot Ring of Gal'Saris, and seek Kipcah

🧭 Kipcah

  • Coach to FP, exit north gate (blacksmith) and head west to Marr’s Fist / Temple of Light (S)
  • Kipcah is in the center upon entering

He asks you to recover his spyglass from a Deathfist Lookout.

  • Deathfist Lookout (CONs yellow cons yellow@30) is southwest in Deathfist Forge (NE), inside a hut
  • Kill, loot the spyglass, and return to Kipcah

The spyglass is broken. Kipcah sends you to Gligbin in Klick'Anon:

  • Gligbin is next to a wagon just inside the white gate
  • No tunar required

Return the repaired spyglass to Kipcah. He reveals Tarlin’s location.

🔓 Free Tarlin

  • Head to Deathfist Forge (S), southwest from Kipcah
  • Kill Urtwar (CONs red cons red@30) at the top of the ramp on the right
  • Invis in; a cleric sees invis partway up
  • Loot the Orc Shackle Key, speak with Tarlin to free him

✅ Quest Completion

Return to Daresh. You will be rewarded with:

  • 7,890,859 XP

  • Completion of your Level 30 path quest

Speak with Daresh. Tarlin returned angry and has taken up necromancer arts. Bardif blames the druids and wants amends.

💰 Bardif

  • Go to Qeynos and pay Bardif 3,000 tunar
  • Location: main entrance → main hall → left → end → side room left → first house right, second floor

⚠️ Wereforms beware of Julie Tanner, the werehunter.

🧾 Mergmar

  • Speak with Mergmar, downstairs from Bardif
  • He hints Tarlin liked floating towers in the north
  • Return to Daresh

🏚️ Bandits

  • Head to Wyndhaven, run east toward the fort on the hill near the ravine
  • Kill Tarlin’s Bandits (CONs lightblue cons lb–DB@40) in the two towers
  • Loot the note and return

🗡️ Assassin

  • Go to Qeynos and enter Bardif’s house
  • Assassin (CONs darkblue cons db@40) attacks immediately
  • Kill, loot dagger, return to Daresh

📨 Three Messengers

Kill Tarlin’s Agents (CONs yellow cons yellow@40, triggered):

  1. Ferran’s Hope (C) – Blacktongue Orc village
  2. Deathfist Citadel – near throne or ramp
  3. Great Waste (NE) – inside main building

Loot all notes and return.

💀 Necromantic Gems

A) Vahk'Kiv (Guk S, CONs yellow cons yel@40) – loot Gem of Night
B) Daglader (Tomb of Kings, CONs red cons red@40) – loot Rune of Corpses

Return both gems to Daresh.

🧟 Tarlin’s Guards

  • From Wyndhaven, run north to Bogman Village (SE)
  • Tarlin spawns under floating tower
  • Three lvl 40 thugs spawn
  • Kill or die; return to Daresh

  • Yaymz Searingtouch (Cazic Thule, CONs yellow cons yel) – loot robe (guards have Harm TouchSpell)

Return all robes.

  • Loot robe, return to Daresh

🔮 To Summon Chardith

  • Go to Takish Hiz (SW)
  • Find Archmagus Terathin in basement
  • Defeat Sun, Star, and Moon Magi, looting each phylactery
  • Choose epic weapon
  • Summon and kill Lord Chardith, loot Bone of Chardith
