Quest Name: Plane of Sky Armour Quest Level: 50+ Class: All Quest NPC: Aviaks on the 3rd isle of Rain Chain:
Casters: Singe Burntfeathers Tanks: Stark Goldencrest Melees: Toi Razorbeak Healers: Verna Goldencrest Location: Rain Chain, PoS
Recipes Each recipe requires a class specific talisman and two miscellaneous items. A caster will require an owl talisman, a tank will require a rhino talisman, a melee will require a phoenix talisman and a healer will require a panther talisman. Talismans and misc. items drop throughout the Plane of Sky off almost anything and are considered "rare" drops." Only the golden ring of Veershan drops off the mob of the same name. One of the most frequented farming locations is the third island of the night chain. There, a small group can easily farm the dark servants. Or, if you are more inclined, you can solo one of the bishops which spawn every ten minutes and are resistible with Ar.
Quest Name: Desolation Chain Level: 50+ Class: All Quest NPC: Location: Plane of Sky
UPDATED TO INCLUDE NEW POS MOBS. Mobs now drops shards, and new mobs spawn that drop shards. Read the All About Shards at the bottom of this walkthrough prior to starting quest.
The pre-req for getting to the Deso Isle is to be in the kill group for Aeyinar. Ensure a healer is in the ks group for Aey and then you can los rez everyone over to deso 1. For those flaggged, to get to deso 1, port up to the main PoS isle with a wiz/druid, then pass through to the Isle of Wonder. You speak to an npc up there, and then you'll be ported off to Deso 1.
Desolation Isle 1
On this isle you have to farm and spawn several sets of mobs:
Starting where you port in at, near the arches/shed building (fairly free of roamers) you will note there is a druid ring with stones in the centre of the island. In the middle of the druid ring is a huge Erych, she is unconnable. The entire point of this chain is to make her respawn connable so you can kill her.
Note: mobs on this isle do NOT see through invis, and a rogue can happily run around with their master of disguise on as the mobs will be white faced.
Pick a quadrant of the island and farm scouts and scavengers until a Erych Patroller spawns outside the corresponding area of the druid runes. For example, if you're farming the sw quad of the island, then the Patroller will spawn in the sw quad of the druid ring. There is a specific placeholder that you can kill, but it's a lot less boring for everyone if you just consistently bring mobs in that quad back to your raid party to kill. Each tank should head out to pull a mob with a healer and rooter along. These mobs have huge aggro, and sooner or later you'll get an add. They run at about a half of red, so save nukes.
Important information about resists: Resists for mobs on deso chain is lightning, but even with max resists, scouts will nuke for 4k and crit for 2k, scavengers do not nuke, melee damage from both is minimal
Once a patroller is up, move to a new quad of the island and repeat. Keep moving from quadrant to quadrant until you get your patrollers to spawn. Think of it like this, by farming a quadrant you are consistently farming a placeholder. Each time the placeholder is killed there is a % chance that the corresponding patroller will spawn. You will have to kill the placeholder numerous times to get the patroller to spawn.
If the scouts/scavengers stop spawning in the quadrant you're working on: On deso, if the mobs in your quadrant stop spawning, first and foremost wait, or, to jumpstart the respawn on the scouts/scavengers, we heard from a dev to head back to the arches/shed thing where you ported into and that will start the spawning process over, without compromising whatever patrollers you currently have up.
It took us quite a few hours over a friday/saturday to get all five patrollers spawned; this is the hardest part of the entire chain. We generally based ourselves by the original port of entry, and then on the opposite side where the portal spawns; from those two locations we were able to pull mobs from all the different quads. There is no secret or special trick to doing this that CS has found, just dogged determination, and smart tactics.
Once all five Patrollers are spawned, you clear a path to them, and pull them one at a time to kill them. Some guilds do a root pile to hold all the roamers in while pulling the patrollers but CS just found it a lot easier to kill the mobs in an aisleway to the druid ring to clear the pulling path.
Once they are killed, five Guardians will spawn in their place. Pull and kill each of the five guardians, loot them all. Then the giant unconnable Erych Arbiter in the centre of the druid ring will become connable and she can be pulled and killed. She'll respawn on her deathspot 3 times, with the last spawn having the Shard of Isolation (shard1) (what is a shard? See notes below on shards).
Once she is killed the final time, the portal will open on the north end of the island; everyone passing through the portal will be flagged for deso isle 2. KILL GROUP GOES THROUGH PORTAL LAST.
Note from forum: This sounds a whole lot easier then it really is, with a group of 14-16 people it takes about 5-7 minutes per mob to kill them. Not to mention your tank has to be great at pulling or be ready for adds which can kill essential group members in 1 crit+quad.
Basically the time we are looking at here is roughly 6-12 hours between each key spawn, which is what makes the isle so difficult. So basically knowing all this information really doesnt help anyone if they do not have the man hours or the time to complete it.
Desolation Isle 2
Once you reach Desolation 2 talk to the Elder of the Aviak Village to start the quest for Desolation 2.
When you start the quest Scouts and Warriors of Narcillian will spawn and head towards the village every 5minutes (see Shorte's note below). The first wave will be scouts; and about four will spawn. Then, five minutes later, four Warriors will spawn. There are six waves in total. Your quest is to defend the village from the waves of monsters they; spawn in a clockwise motion. Shorte, from Hodstock, states that the time between wave spawns appears closer to 10 minutes. Be patient and wait or you might delete the quest unnecessarily.
Note: if you fail, you must wait one hour for the Elder to respawn.
After you successfully defend the village from the six waves of warriors and scouts (not letting the elder or villagers die) the final boss will spawn, the Warlord of Narcillian. Kill him and loot shard2, the Shard of Dissolution. Now the orb to the 3rd isle of Desolation will appear on the portal pad. You'll have to make a run for it avoiding the harpy's if you can. (what is a shard? See notes below on shards).
Important note on Deso2. If you've been flagged for deso2 (ie. you've been through the Deso1 portal and you can talk to the Elder); then you may not want to complete this quest for a while. It's advantageous to get a rezzing alt to Deso2 and farm the scouts/warriors for rares. If you're going farm, here is how: Speak to the elder, start the monsters coming. Once the scouts spawn, kill them all. In five minutes when the warriors spawn, delete your quest and let the warriors kill the elder; now kill the warriors. The elder will respawn in a half hour. Talk to him again and start all over. This way, you can keep farming and farming for those rare drops. The Scouts used to have the same loot table as the Warriors, but not any more. If you want to farm for a Breastplate of the Annointed get a strong group together because you'll be farming the warriors (PR is key here). This change is loot tables has affected the economy, as BPoA's that used to be 30 million are now selling for 75! (note: also dropping here is the Ring of Speed, 100 charges, sow (TY repel)
Deso Isle 3
Last Isle to go before you can face the Quintessence of Veeshan.
To complete this Isle you must farm the Harpies on the isle till the queen spawns. Be warned when you kill the dark version of the harpy a light harpy will spawn and vica-versa (often TWO spawn). They see through invis and break root. They have huge resists and hps. They don't body camp if you dies. If the Harpy Queen is going to spawn, she'll spawn on top of you (you won't need to go looking for her). Shorte comments here: "We even read on your walkthrough that once you kill a Harpy that usually 2 Dark Harpies will spawn...but if 2 are spawning, then Dark Harpies have to be easier....right? WRONG." What he's stating here, and what CS has found, is that the one little paragraph above doesn't really capture how tough this isle is, don't mis-underestimate it (TY Mr. Bush).
Once you kill the Harpy Queen, loot shard3, the Shard of the Wasteland. Then the orb will spawn to let you procceed to the next and final isle of desolation.
Deso Isle 4
Fight Quintessence of Veeshan and reap your well earned rewards congrats. Tank needs max LR and AR.
Important information on resists and debuffs: MT must overmax LR by 140 - also high agility mods QoVs LR debuff, so MT should have high agil (+525).
In order to complete your breastplate/tunic for the Plane of Sky Armour Quest, QoV needs to be killed and the Ring of Veeshan looted! Ring can be bought on auction as well (if you never win your roll).
Quintessence of Veeshan is also known as The Mother of all Wurms, and this title includes all of dragonkind such as the drakes and wyverns. She is a huge, crystalline dragon and is ruler of the Plane of Sky. She has no allies but she considers Brell Serilis her enemy. When the universe was young, Veeshan traveled throughout the cosmos depositing Her children on worlds She deemed worthy. She would then strike the planet with Her massive claws so that the other deities would know She had laid claim to that world. Her name is an anagram of the word heavens.
Strategy: This strategy is basically identical to Noxorus.
Raid group stands on hill next to a large rock (for aoe cover), a ways from QoV. Necs/patchers hide from QoVs aoe behind rocks, but gain LoS on MT. Casters/melees stand further up on hill. Check pacts on tank, make sure they'll go off. Make sure all patchers get batteries to support them or they will go oom.
A designated puller, pulls QoV to MT (MT can't move or they'll lose LoS from Pacters). All pacters hail tank, and never take their con off the tank for any reason (or you'll never find it again). If pet dies, leave it dead-don't stop pacting to cast pet (takes too much mana, and MT needs consistent pacts). Pets passive, and no one attacks until MT has aggro from puller. As soon as puller says they are pulling, START PACTING MT. With such a large raid force there is sure to be lag, which means you won't see QoV approach and you won't see the tanks lifebar.
Once MT has aggro, he hails QoV, and all hell breaks lose. Pets aggro in, casters cast, melees shoot bows (or can try attacking from behind, I believe QoV's aoe only goes 180 degrees forward).
Note: QoV crits for 3.5k with high variable quads - be prepared!
Remember: "If you're not in los, get fukkin in it and if you're in the AoE, get fukkin outta it." Fredjones 2006.
Be careful around some of the rocks. If you get too close you'll get a warning about them being unstable. 3 warnings=death. Once QoV is down, loot the final shard (shard4) and you can go through the astral portal that spawns on top of the mountain where QoV spawns.
Reward:
Completion of Desolation Chain, means you have completed the entire Plane of Sky - Congratulations! If you were in the kill group, you were flagged. Verify this by speaking with the Mark of the Desolation on PoS-Isle of Wonder. PoS Loot Table
ALL ABOUT SHARDS
Make sure the SAME person loots all 4 shards that drop on the Desolation chain!! ONE person will need all the shards to spawn the Construct of Sorrows later.
Now, what about those 4 shards you looted? When your raid group is ready, you take your shards to the main Island (where you originally port up to). Head east towards the edge, and you should be able to con the Astral Light (if its up) which CONs red
. Don't speak to the orb until everyone is ready! Once you speak with it, and turn in all your shards from deso chain, it will conduct an AOE port and everyone there will be ported to a NEW PoS island. Don't have pets out, it only ports 16 ppl and pets count as 1.
Once on the island, get set up. Once ready, speak to the Astral entity to spawn the Construct of Sorrows.
Now to explain about the shards. While ONE person has to collect all the shards as you progress through deso chain (in order to spawn the end mob), a different person can loot the big boss construct shards. But again, ONE person has to loot all the big boss end mobs from every chain (5 construct shards) in order to spawn Veeshan's twins Bulwark and Talon.
This mob is similar to Lord Pickclaw, he'll pop you out form, so the MT will gain no benefit from ogre pill or lycan forms. The Construct of Sorrows resembles an almost giant Red Swarming Death. Once the mob is dead, have your designated looter loot the shard (take a second to look at the dead mob and notice the cool evil head graphic floating above it). If there are any rares, be quick about determining who loots, after five minutes you are automatically ported off this island.
Check out this page for more pos updates and more information about shards.
For completing deso chain, and/or being in the kill group for the Contruct, head to The Storyteller in Baga Village NE to obtain faction points.
Quest Name: Night Chain Level: 50+ Class: All Quest NPC: Location: Plane of Sky
UPDATED TO INCLUDE NEW POS MOBS. Mobs now drops shards, and new mobs spawn that drop shards. Read the All About Shards at the bottom of this walkthrough prior to starting quest.
Note: bring 3k with you PRIOR to porting up to the Plane of Sky.
Night Isle 1:
Port up to Plane of Sky (druid or wiz port). From that main island, head n/w to a windmill; buy a key of the ancients from Liztin Misseliania (fairy), outside a hut for 3000 tunar.
Approach the Essence of Night; essence is located directly south of where you bought the key. On using the portal (TY Tossinpots): Ensure you've purchase the right key. The portal has a tendancy to glitch and work very slowly if everyone crowds around it, so one at a time, approach the portal (any others with you should stand back). Do NOT con/talk to the portal. As you get within a range of 3-5 it will automatically give you a pop up offering for you to place key into hole-read the text carefully and chose the correct option. The popup will happen automatically if you have the right key in your inventory. Each person should approach no sooner than 1-2 second since the last person has vanished. I even found, while db'in, the toon on a/f would still get the popup just fine even though they were very close (on auto follow) But conning it and talking had a tendency to make the light not work properly for a short time (couple mins).
If con and speak to the essence, you'll get a popup that tells you you are missing something. You MUST wait for the popup to be given to you.
Note: there is no pre-requirement for doing the night chain.
Upon your arrival have everyone in the raiding party run to the opposite side of the island with out speaking to with the Voice of the Ancients. Have the raiding party set up camp on either side of the two rows of columns, not in the center. Ensure a tank with high HPs will be the one to speak with the Voice of the Ancients. Doing so will start several waves of mobs to kill:
Kill the Ancient Jester, ensuring the SAME person each time will loot the shards going forward. Defeating that mob spawns a portal to the next island. Begin sending your troops through. Have the kill-group go last.
Night Isle 2:
You have two choices on this island: You can either attempt to fight your way through the Golems, or you can death-gate. If you choose to fight, you will have to progress slowly. The mobs do not drop loot, nor are they easy to fight in multiplies. They also spawn within close proximity of each other. Basically, you'll just be traversing a long corridor with four sets of golems each section.
At the far end of the island is an invisible wall which can be bypassed by creeping along the edge. Position your war party outside of the LoS of the Iron Knight and prepare for battle. CS didn't encounter an invisible wall at this point.
The Iron Knight has a 2,000 Ac debuff and spawns every 30-60 minutes. High Agi is recommended for this particular mob. The Iron Knight does drop some decent rares, so you're war party may consider setting up camp here and farming him for awhile. After you have defeated have the SHARD looter take his Shard2. A portal appears which will allow you to advance to the next island. Again, have the kill-group go through last.
Night Isle 3:
When you arrive on the island you will receive a pop-up. Your objective is to save the maiden from almost certain death. To accomplish this you most prevent the mobs from slaughtering her. Invis past the servants and position your war party in the towers to defeat the Bishops. There is a slight chance the servants will see through your invis, so move quickly. With Ar equipped even a single 60 can solo a Bishop. From Yado: For night 3 you only need to kill Arch Bishop Millian and Arch Bishop Lancel. The way I do this is stage your bishop killers 1st. Have the player who is doing the quest wait away from the entrance where they get the pop up to begin. When the bishop killers are set the person doing the quest run to the entrance get the pop up and tells the killers to kill the bishops. The bishops must die before the dukes reach the maiden, if done correctly the invisible wall should drop shortly allowing the player doing the quest to talk to the maiden get the shard while everyone ports to the next island. Note from CS: Alcymist has his own way of doing this. First, you may all see the text chat in say about the maiden, but only ONE of you will log the quest. Whoever logged the quest at this point, delete it, have the entire raid move away from the popup location. Now, battle your way to the tops of the towers killing everything, but letting the bishops wack you (the don't hit very hard). Do NOT kill the bishops (and see Yado's note above, you only need to kill 2 of the bishops (Millian and Lancel). Once you the two bishops hitting the tank (or alch), then have the SHARD looter return to the location where the popup is and get the popup (double check to ensure quest is in log "protect the maiden"). Once the SHARD looter has the popup, all bishops may be killed. Now, all head up to the top where the portal is, via the western location, and the SHARD looter must speak with the maiden. Doing so will net them SHARD3 and will open a portal behind you.
This island also tends to be a very popular farming location. It is not uncommon to find many of the towers occupied by pet casters farming the Bishops. If this is the case, give them fair warning and progress to the next island.
At this point, you might want to arrange for a rezzing alt to be brought into Night3. That way, you can get back any time you like to farm for your POS Armour. You can rez to get to this island by dying before you port, port to PoS, run to the edge of the main island, and get a los rez from the rezzing alt standing on this island.
Night Isle 4:
The mobs here have a 3,000 Ac debuff. CS had everyone remain at the port-in location. The tank ran along the edges of the island and pulled Dark Barons (can only be hurt by melee) and the Essences (can only be hurt by casting) back to the raid party to be killed. Going along the edges avoids the holes in the middle (if you fall through a holl, the only recourse is CoH). If a mob has keys on them, this means the boss mob has spawned.
The Dark Baroness is the boss mob, kill this mob and have the designated looter take SHARD4. Now have the entire raid party head to the other side of the isle along the edges. When you encounter the invisible wall, use the log-out/log-in trick to bypass it. Make your way towards the portal and everyone head through to the next, and last isle.
Night Isle 5:
Welcome to King Ruthra's personal temple of doom! For the Squires, Bishops and King equip AR. The Mages are FR, CC and AR Based.
From where you port in, turn right and you'll need to jump off this island, to reach the pyramid of the king (make sure you are far enough left or you'll jump into space). Run along the ground parallel to the pyramid, then cross the sand and have your raid party all run to the very top of the pyramid, where it is safe to wait. The tank can then head to the entrance, grab a squire (or 2) and bring them back to the raid party to kill. Squires are tough mobs, beware and be buffed.
Once the entrance is clear, have your raid party move down to the entrance, keep all members against the walls. Tank should pull the Squire roamer first, you'll have to be patient and wait for him to roam near your group. Once he's dead, one by one kill the Mages. It's tricky; there is a lot of lag and it's hard to con the mobs in advance of them aggro'ing on you. Clear the first first floor then run to the back of this floor to the ramp down.
King Ruhtra has four bishops guarding him, kill these first. Now it's time for King Ruhtra. He does port, which can be tricky.
Send in a pet to attack the King first, better a pet get ported than your tank. If the pet is ported, DISMISS it or it will come running back to rejoin it's owner with a train of mobs. CS noted that King Ruhtra ported the intial pet that attacked, but no one else was ported.
Note: King Ruhtra has a tendency of porting whomever his aggro is on. Once you are all ready to kill Ruhtra, you must set an 'order of tanks'. One of two keys to beating Ruhtra is being sure the tanks pick up aggro as soon as he ports the previous tank. Having an order of tanks allows the healers to know who to switch to once their tank gets ported. First send a few pets, then the MT. The more tanks there, the more Ruhtra has to port, giving the dd's longer to do their damage. The offensive abilities of Ruhtra are no more than the squire's. Dealing with Ruhtra's ability to port people is the most important.
Defeat Ruthra and ensure your designated looter takes SHARD5. Loot King Ruhtra entirely, and the portal essence will then spawn on the second floor of the temple.
Congratulations, you have completed the Night chain. Have the kill-group speak with the Mark of the Majestic in POS-Isle of Wonder to verify they have been flagged. You will now be able to return to Night1 at any time for free and you are now flagged for SNOW chain.
Note: only the kill group for King Ruhtra gets flagged! Make sure a rezzer is in the kill group to ensure the rest of your raid party will be able to rez over to Snow 1 OR kill King Ruhtra multiple times to flag everyone.
ALL ABOUT SHARDS
Make sure the SAME person loots all 5 shards that drop on the Night chain!! ONE person will need all the shards to spawn the Construct of Shadows later.
Now, what about those 5 shards you looted? When your raid group is ready, you take your five shards to the main Island (where you originally bought your rain key). Head east towards the edge, and you should be able to con the Astral Light (if its up) which CONs red
. Don't speak to the orb until everyone is ready! Once you speak with it, and turn in all your shards from night chain (black shards), it will conduct an AOE port and everyone there will be ported to a NEW PoS island (ports 16 ppl, pets count so don't have them out).
Once on the island, get set up. Once ready, speak to the Astral entity to spawn the Construct of Storms. It looks like a huge ancient death, and there is an AoE to beware of.
Now to explain about the shards. While ONE person has to collect all the shards as you progress through night chain (in order to spawn the end mob), a different person can loot the big boss named contruct mobs. But again, ONE person has to loot all the big boss end mobs in order to spawn Veeshan's twins Bulwark and Talon.
Once the mob is dead, have your designated looter loot the shard. If there are any rares, be quick about determining who loots, after five minutes you are automatically ported off this island.
Check out this page for more pos updates and shard information.
For completing the Night Chain, and/or being in the kill group for the Contruct of Shadows, head to The Storyteller in Baga Village NE to obtain faction points.
Quest Name: Plane of Sky Portal Quest Level: 53+ Class: All Quest NPC: Sektamoot Location: Sphinx Pyramid (NE)
Plane of Sky is accessed by a teleport spell. The spell is gained by doing this quest. To log the quest, talk to the giant manticore named Sektamoot who is located on a hillside next to the Sphinx Pyramid (in the NE section of the zone), north of the dwarven town you can gate to via the waysender in GM. You will also need to speak to two other manticores (located on nearby hillsides) Fentharos, and Alexandraphex.
To get the quest, you must be at least level 53.
Each of the three manticores will ask you two riddles. You must solve all 6 riddles in order to finish the quest. Often, each of the 6 quests, are major quests within themselves.
First Clue: Sektamoot
"Once man, once beast, once half-man, now cold and dead. A servant to the unknown, spirits not of the dead Heed commands with the ice of the earth in hand."
SOLUTION: You need to obtain the Totem of the Frozen North off of Skaldi Runehoof. He spawns in the same lair as The Unnamed King for Parathior epics, in the tomb in the ruins north of Anu village by the pond. Not a triggered spawn.
Second clue: Alexandraphex
"Shrouded in inky black on a deep blue horizon, A thorn pierced deep in bulbous flesh. Many arms have strained but none have set it free."
SOLUTION: You need to obtain the Harpoon of Telinan by defeating Kratas. Killing Kratas requires getting the items for the Kratas quest to spawn him.
Third clue: Fentharos
"Ancient armor encasing muscle and bone, The name of a hunter engraved in the belly of a wingless dragon."
SOLUTION: You need to obtain the Ring of Garthis by killing Crocosaurus. Croc spawns in Lake Noregard and in the temple on the island (in the crocidile rock formation), and is surrounded by ancient ghariels and Tae Ew heirophants. If he's not there you can kill the Tae Ew heirophants swimming around, to spawn him.
Fourth clue: Sektamoot
"Guarded by the brood of the desert and the wind, Nestled in a bed of sand and gold, The fist of death engraved in stone."
SOLUTION: You must get this clue from Sektamoot by turning in one of the first 3 items. It requires killing Skahyir, who spawns in Box Canyon (map), and looting the Crown of Ragek. This Skahyir does not spawn in the same place as required for the Arios 55 (in the cave with the throne). Run North from oasis till u get to box canyon, go west around the mtn, and then follow it east all the way to a cave with two inferno drakes guarding it. Enter the cave, Ska spawns at the bottom. Skahyir is not a triggered spawn, and will require camping (Bordeal said Skahyir has an average spawn rate of 3 days. That translates into a 1% chance of spawning per hour, GL)
When you turn in the item, Sektamoot will give you a token. Skahyir is not a triggered spawn, and will require camping.
Note: You do not have to solve the first 3 clues in any particular order. Nor do you have to solve the final three clues in any order. However, you must solve at least one of the first 3 before you can move on to the final clues.
Fifth clue: Alexandraphex
"Flowing in the breath of the winter storms, A web spun by the blue skinned cursed. A gift to warm the cold heart of their banished mistress."
SOLUTION: Alex wants you to obtain the Queen's Shawl by killing Lady Vox in Permafrost. She is a rare dragon that spawns on the top floor of her castle. When you turn in the quest item, you receive a token. Lady Vox requires camping as she is not a triggered spawn. (Bordeal said Skahyir has an average spawn rate of 3 days. That translates into a 1% chance of spawning per hour, you can assume it's just as bleak for Lady Vox)
Sixth clue: Fentharos
"Praised as a god amidst sleeping ivory, A coin fit for giants to guard a king, Lies buried beneath taloned feet."
SOLUTION: This requires killing Siliskor in Elephant Graveyard. He spawns in the canyons where there in an empty pit with a tilted statue. Siliskor drops the Shield of King Jorat. When you turn it in, you receive a token.
Once you have all three tokens, return to Sektamoot. He will instruct you to find a portal to the Plane of Sky on your own. The portal is at the top of the Endless Tower (where the monks reside) in the Eternal Desert. When you reach the top of the tower, you'll get a popup and a portal will form. Step through the portal to the Plane of Sky. Once there, talk to the large manticore (Sarathet). He will reward you with your permanent port spell-a tablet of Sarathet that you use to convert into the POS spell that goes into your ability menu.
Plane of Sky Map
Reward
WIZARD or DRUID: The reward is a group portal to the Plane of Sky (which is why guilds initially placed emphasis on those classes having the first crack at the rewards - the mobs for the quest are extremely rare). You get NO xp for this quest.
ALL OTHER CLASSES: (TY Joxxerii, Lanaz, and STRESS_FACTOR): You don't get a scroll to memorize like a druid or a wiz; your reward will not be an ability added to your scroll book. You get a gem, called the Eye of the Sphynx, in the misc category of your inventory. In order to port to PoS, the gem must be ON you (not in the bank), and you must run out to the endless towers in the Eternal Desert each and every time you wish to goto PoS. IF YOU DELETE THE GEM BY ACCIDENT: The Eye of the Sphynx gem is just a blue looking gem (like an aquamarine) and is easy to delete from your inventory/sell to merchant by accident. Iwright tells us that the only way to get it back is through sending in a help request. Can't be gained again via a NPC (ie. Sektamoot).
Quest Name: Rain Chain Level: 50+ Class: All Quest NPC: Location: Plane of Sky
Tank needs Max AR
UPDATED TO INCLUDE NEW POS MOBS. Mobs now drops shards, and new mobs spawn that drop shards. Read the All About Shards at the bottom of this walkthrough prior to starting quest.
Note: bring 2k with you PRIOR to porting, to buy a key (there is no bank up there).
This is the easiest PoS chain to do, and a good one to start with. This chain is one groupable, we did with a DK, Resist Cl, Lich, and Pyro. Time - 4 hours. The mobs you will encounter don't hit too hard, and with max AR, your AC should still be good, but the mobs do take a long time to kill due to their high hitpoints.
Port up to Plane of Sky (druid or wiz port). From that main island, head n/w to a windmill; buy a rain key from Liztin Misseliania (fairy), outside a hut for 2000 tunar.
Now head n/w and cross a bridge to a little island. Take the key to the essence of rain. Creatur Tamer Ani is available to provide creatures for charming, if needed. You'll see the portal at then end of the island.
All mobs in the rain chain may con lb or db, but all have a significant amount of hps and take time to kill. Be aware of adds while killing the mob you're on.
Rain 1 The mobs on this island are LB to a lvl 60 and are fairly weak. They nuke with AR and have no AoE. Hunt around the island killing these mobs until you find a named mob (Artiokanis?). Killing the named mob will drop 8 keys AND LOOT SHARD1. The same person must loot all the ntl shards from the mobs as you progress through the island.
If you have more than 8 people, you will need to find another named mob and get 8 more keys. Each person uses the key on the portal in the center of the island. These are tradable keys. The portal takes a while to port everyone through, it may make you wait a while. The portal will spawn in the center of the island, so assure you have a clear path to it. Take the portal to Rain 2
Rain 2 Talk to Trixie Longwings and she gives you a quest. You need to have -99 faction to log the quest, and only one person can do it at a time. She will tell you that Sterie Glitterlight is missing on the other side of the maze, and will you help her?
OK, the maze is quite simple. Map of maze. Start by going left, then str8 (ignoring next right), from this point on, HUG the right wall and follow it everywhere, it will lead you out. Kill the guardian gargoyes you encounter along the way, don't loot. (DB to lvl 60, lots of hps)
Once you get out the other side, you'll con Sterie. Buff up, then the questor must speak with her. At this point a white con spirit (kaglanor) spawns behind you near the maze wall ruins. Kill and loot the spirit and have the same person LOOT SHARD2 (Again, looted by the same person that looted Shard1). Now sow and buff the questor. They alone can run through the maze out the other side (hugging the LEFT wall all the way, see map). Run to a safe spot out other side, die, get rez back, after rez affects are over, speak with Trixie again to get the wand.
At this point, we coh'd the questor back to the rest of the group, where the essence of rain port was, but if you don't have coh, the questor can just deathgate through the maze again (make sure groupmates are hidden on other side so you don't train them).
Use the wand, which makes 8 keys to use on the essence of rain portal. Repeat the quest if you have more than 8 friends with you. Use the Key of downpour. Pass through the portal onto the next island.
Rain 3 Log your PoS armor quest here if you want to from one of the bird people in the aviak village. Each class must speak to a different NPC. See PoS Armour Quest. Not a bad idea for a guild to leave a rezzer here, so that future questors have direct access to log their pos quest armour.
Singe Burntfeathers is the quest npc for this island, he is in the lower hut (he's also the pos caster armour quest giver).
But before you log the quest, farm the forest qex's that roam around in the trees, Singe is going to ask you for 4 wings. If you need more than 8 keys you will need to collect 4 wings on 2 people. Be forewarned, the wings are a rare drop. You will kill at least 10 qex's for each wing, and the qex's take a few minutes to kill because they have a lot of hps.
Now, have the person with the four 4 feathers turn them in to get the next part. Singe requires further help; go into the cave on the island with the flesh maggots. Make your way down the tunnel - just a straight path - kill the flesh maggots along the way (don't even open the box or you'll pop it); there are two drops off a high cliff where you can just drop down, the third one drops you into the big cavern with your boss mob. For this drop, jump from the right side of the ledge and run all the way to the right - its safe there.
Clear the surrounding maggots, and then pull Ghizilanve behind a pillar and kill, she takes a while. Loot her black gem of narciliisisin. Immediately after she is dead, the portal to leave will spawn, but you're not done yet. Behind the pillar you'll see Granavik the bugbeast has now spawned (new mob), rebuff everyone, make sure the area is clear of flesh maggots and pull him to a safe spot to kill. With one group he took about 10-15 minutes to kill. If you have more damage, it will go faster. Kill him and LOOT HIS SHARD OF TORRENTS SHARD3 (looted by the same person that looted shard1 and shard2). Note: Ghizilanve will spawn again at the back of the cave. If you are doing this quest for more than 8 people, you will need to kill Ghizilanve again and have the second questor loot her black gem.
Once you're all done in the cavern everyone port, by conning the essence of rain and talking to it, (approach it carefully so as not to agg the resapwned Ghizilanve). Now the questor must go speak with Singe Burntfeathers again. He is shocked by the gem you found off Ghizilanve and begs you to help him kill this evil necrologist. You agree, and he will give you another wand, to make 8 keys.
Head down the road from this aviak village, and you find the port there, the essence of rain. Use the keys from the wand on this portal. Sometimes it's picky and it will take awhile to get everyone through the portal.
Rain 4 You will appear on an island inhabited by small demions. Circle around the right side of the island to the other side and roam around the area where the portal is until you acquire a pop-up which will spawn a warlock (Necrologist) Narciliisisin (the popup is sometimes near the portal, or sometimes on opposite side of Isle, it roams). Get the popup and the Necrologist will spawn. Kill the Necrologist (only body pull him, the aggro on the demions is tied to him) and the portal is activated. But wait! Now a Spirit of Narciliisisin has spawned (although undead nukes don't work on the spirit, go figure). Kill the spirit and LOOT HIS SHARD4 (By same person that looted 1,2,3). Now you're all clear to go through the portal, to Rain 5 and kill Chimeran (he spawns fairly far ahead of the group, so it's safe to buff and assemble before pulling). Chimera is the only mob that spawns on Rain 5.
Notes:
Note on farming: if your guild plans to farm Chimera, always take a look on the who. If there are a large amount of people there it is possible they are going through the Rain Chain quest and will need to spawn and kill Chimera to get complete their quest. It's best to send a tell and determine what is going on rather than have a guild conflict. Progressing through the Rain Chain takes a lot of time and effort and CS believes the guild doing the quest has priority over mere farming.
Rain 5
If you have lava 57 logged, run to the right to get a pop up.
If you have lava 59 logged, run to the left near some lava on the way to the chimerean.
Chimareon the Tyranist will spawn far ahead of where you ported in. Only those in KS group will be flagged as completing the Rain Chain. If you are doing this with more than four ppl, Chim will need to be killed twice (by leaving a group behind to get the popup to spawn the aviak, killing him, killing his spirit, then porting through for their turn at Chim).
This mob can be one grouped. The tank rh'd and coh'd back at this point because both sets of his armour were X'd. Chimareon uses an arcane based debuff to lower the AC of your tank. Ensure tank has max AR and they'll only lose about 3-400 AC. He has no AoE, so there are no worries with hiding or stacking. Have tank pull back to the group, and kill him. LOOT SHARD5(yup, by the same person who already looted 1,2,3&4).
If you have more than four ppl needing the flag, have the group you left on Rain 4 get the popup to spawn Chimareon again. They will have to kill the necrologist again, and then they can port through and take their turn; make sure these four form the KS group by having everyone else ungroup. Repeat till everyone is flagged.
Repeat kill on CtT with another 4 people grouped. Repeat till everyone is flagged.
To finish, port through the portal to the isle of wonder and talk to the manifestation of rain. The Manifestation of Rain will give you the NO TRADE key that allows you to return to Rain 1 for free at any time. If the MoR speaks with you, you will know you have successfully be flagged. Congratulations you have now completed the Chain of Rain! Anytime you wish to redo the Rain Chain, just speak with the MoR who will give you a key for free.
See below to learn what to do with your five shards!
ALL ABOUT SHARDS
Make sure the SAME person loots all 5 shards that drop on the Rain chain!! ONE person will need all the shards to spawn the Construct of Storms later.
Now, what about those 5 shards you looted? When your raid group is ready, you take your five shards to the main Island (where you originally bought your rain key). Head east towards the edge, and you should be able to con the Astral Light (if its up) which CONs red
. Don't speak to the orb until everyone is ready! Once you speak with it, and turn in all your shards from rain chain (blue shards), it will conduct an AOE port and everyone there will be ported to a NEW PoS island. Don't have pets out, it only ports 16 ppl and pets count as 1.
Once on the island, get set up. Once ready, speak to the Astral entity to spawn the Construct of Storms. It looks like a huge water elemental, and there is an AoE to beware of. CS did this with 2 groups very easily.
Now to explain about the shards. While ONE person has to collect all the shards as you progress through Rain chain (in order to spawn the end mob), a different person can loot the big boss named construct mobs. But again, ONE person has to loot all the big boss end mobs in order to spawn Veeshan's twins Bulwark and Talon.
Once the mob is dead, have your designated looter loot the shard. If there are any rares, be quick about determining who loots, after five minutes you are automatically ported off this island.
Check out this page for more pos updates and information about shards.
For completing the Rain Chain, and/or being in the kill group for the Contruct of Storms, head to The Storyteller in Baga Village NE to obtain faction points.
Quest Name: Snow Chain, POS Level: 50+ Class: All Quest NPC: Ryini, Isle1 Location: Plane of Sky
Aeyinar is both a random spawn on Snow Chain 4, AND there is a quest spawned version of Aeyinar via the POS Snow Chain.
UPDATED TO INCLUDE NEW POS MOBS. Mobs now drops shards, and new mobs spawn that drop shards. Read the All About Shards at the bottom of this walkthrough prior to starting quest.
To gain access to Snow Chain isle 1, you must first have been in the kill group for King Rhutra from the Night Chain Quest. Ensure a healer is in the Kill Group for King Rhutra so that all in your party can get to Snow1 later via a line of sight rez or you have to kill King Rhutra multiple times. This flags you for access to Snow Chain. Being in the kill group for Aeyinar flags you for snow chain completion and opens the final chain in the Plane of Sky: Desolation. Note: there are four isles in snow chain, and the questor has some back and forth between them with no obvious way to do so. It's kinda odd for a quest, but to help your questor, it is recommended you ensure someone has a los rezzer to: Snow1 and Snow4.
On isle 1, where you port in, is an npc named Ryini (if you los rezzed in then you have to follow the mnt corridor all the way up the mnt - gargoyles don't see through invis). When you speak with her you start a quest much like the one where you protect Lionel for the Lionwere. You must escort her down the mountain and keep her safe from the Icebound Gargolyes. She wishes to return to her town to see Tamis again. If she dies, you fail, and must wait one hour for the npc to respawn in order to try again. Don't speak to her until you're ready - speaking with her begins the quest. Note: on the second isle, you'll be given a quest where you'll need a gargolye eye - farm it on isle1 prior to moving onto isle 2! Either farm the eye prior to starting the Ryini quest or after the quest is done don't jump down to isle 2 yet, farm a garg eye first. Note2: Would recommend clearing the corridor of all gargolyes first. Ryini may aggro on the healer if she senses a heal tick, or an AoE is cast around her. It's best to avoid all fighting while she is making her way down the mountain. Keep one group with her, and have the rest of your raid party clearing the way far far ahead. If she starts attacking someone in your party, have that person log out quickly. Also, gargoyles are mostly empty, so don't open boxes - you must move quickly and hope boxes don't pop and spawn gargoyles behind you. I think the garg's all spawn out in the flats and then roam towards the corridor so as long as the advance raid party is doing their job Ryini should be safe.
When she gets to the stone bridge, her presence there will spawn a Wind Mephit, kill it and continue. Questor should get a popup here, talk to her again to keep her moving.
She follows the mountain corridor down, and where it opens she makes a sharp left and walks to the end of the road. Questor should get another popup here as well. She thanks you and advises you to speak with Tamis in the town. Everyone now jumps off the cliff/waterfall to the village below. Note: on the second isle, you'll be given a quest where you'll need a gargolye eye - farm it on isle1 prior to moving onto isle 2! Either farm the eye prior to starting the Ryini quest or after the quest is done don't jump down to isle 2 yet, farm a garg eye first.
Welcome to snow2! Beware being near the ice, as it can nuke you for 6k. Speak with Tamis in one of the igloos. He'll tell you to kill a mob for him. The mob is called Whirlwind, and will drop Shard of Shivers (Shard1). It whirls around on the outskirts of the little igloo village. (what is a shard? See notes below on shards). Note: the collector of the shards, and the questor do not need to be the same person.
Once you've done this, the questor should speak with Guenzi in one of the igloo's to log the stew part of the quest. You can chose to collect the stew items or the stew items and herb. Chose the stew items and herb: You will be required to collect:
You may have to return to snow1 to farm for the gargoyle eye if you didn't get it the first time through (via los rez), otherwise proceed to isle3 by speaking with the Essence of Icicles. Once there immediately head east up the mountain...the apes (glacial behemoths) will spawn almost directly on top of your party as you port in and you need to get safe; they tend to spawn in pairs. Farm the apes until you get a heart. Note: there are caves to the south; you can park your party on top of a mnt and have your tank pull the Snow Brutes from the cave to you. There are glacial behemoths (huge aggro range) that wander up and down the valley, you can farm them as well. You are seeking the Apes Heart. Far to the south on the other side of the mnt, a Glacial Champion will spawn, he will have the Shard of Glaciers (Shard2). Killing him will activate the Essence of the Snowfall portal to the n/e.
Proceed to isle 4 and farm the celestial drakes until you obtain a foot. If Aeyinar is up kill her and hope for a BPoA. Once you have the foot, the questor will need to return to Snow2 with all the stew items (heart, foot, eye, & hearb) in preparation of speaking with Guenzi - but don't talk yet:
Kill Enraged Aeyinar, loot Shard of Icy Depths (Shard3). Everyone can then return to the Isle of Wonder by accessing the portal: Essence of the Brood.
If you are in the kill group, you will be flagged for Deslolation Chain Isle 1. You can verify this by speaking with the Mark of the Majestic in PoS - Isle of Wonder. Note: if you make sure a healer is in the KS group, when you go to do Deso, the flagged healer can get to deso1 and then los rez everyone over.
On killing Aeyinar: Randalflag says: Aeyinar is an 8 hour spawn, if you want to try farming her for it, every 8 hours she is up.
Aeyinar has a wicked AoE, make sure tank has max CR. Tank should pull Aeyinar to a tree where the rest of your group can hide, pop out to cast spell/patch, then hide again. Aeyinar has one heal. Watch out for the Celestial Drakes, which can add. The drakes are tough to take down, but don't AoE, so can be done one at a time to clear before tank pulls Aeyinar. Aeyinar will also debuff MT's stamina to below 200 (erases a LOT of your hps), so overmaxing stamina is a good idea; she'll also debuff agility.
Note on debuffs (TY gokukicks): Aeyinar debuffs STA by 200, just did regular aeyinar and enraged aeyinar tonight... Noticed the debuff was 200 seeing my sham has 600 wis and that adds 210 sta... Enraged also hits alot harder as well as having 5 X the hp.. noticed quads were about 3 times harder then regular one and was getting a 4500 dmg off along with a 1k aoe....not sure if that was consistant seeing I had to jump in menus alot or it could be resists failed.. I did only need 1 FF resist for main tick and 1 stack cleric on regular aeyinar but then for enraged I swapped out resist FF after buff for a stack diviner cleric and a nec..so required 2 extra stackers.
Get a rezzing alt to Snow4 so that you can get back here and farm Aeyinar (as mentionned earlier she is also a random spawn, good for farming). Some good loot drops, like Breastplate of the Annointed (very rare). You can rez to get to this island by dying before you port, running to the nw edge of the main island, and getting a los rez from someone standing on this island. If you are in the kill group that kills Aeyinar, you are now flagged for Deso chain and can speak to the four Manifestations on the Isle of Wonder to get your stones and port there. Whether or not you did all the isles in snow chain, being in KS group for Aeyinar flags you for Deso.
Note on farming: if your guild plans to farm Aeyinar, and your spy tells you she is up, always take a look on the who. If there are a large amount of people there it is possible they are going through the Snow Chain quest and will need to spawn and kill Aeyinar to get flagged for Deso. Its best to send a tell and determine what is going on rather than have a guild conflict. Progressing through the Snow Chain takes a lot of time and effort and CS believes the guild doing the quest has priority.
**Note: It is possible to bypass Night and Snow Chains entirely by being rezzed over to Snow Chain and be in kill group that kills Aeyinar. Being flagged lets you advance to Deso. Of course you are then completely bypassing all the content and missing the point of the game :/
ALL ABOUT SHARDS
Make sure the SAME person loots all 3 shards that drop on the Snow chain!! ONE person will need all the shards to spawn the Construct of Frost later.
Now, what about those 3 shards you looted? When your raid group is ready, you take your shards to the main Island (where you originally port up to). Head east towards the edge, and you should be able to con the Astral Light (if its up) which CONs red
. Don't speak to the orb until everyone is ready! Once you speak with it, and turn in all your shards from deso chain, it will conduct an AOE port and everyone there will be ported to a NEW PoS island. Don't have pets out, it only ports 16 ppl and pets count as 1.
Once on the island, get set up. Once ready, speak to the Astral entity to spawn the Construct of Frost.
Now to explain about the shards. While ONE person has to collect all the shards as you progress through snow chain (in order to spawn the end mob), a different person can loot the big boss construct shards. But again, ONE person has to loot all the big boss end mobs from every chain (5 construct shards) in order to spawn Veeshan's twins Bulwark and Talon.
Position your raid party, and once you're set to tackle the Construct, speak with the light to begin. Once the mob is dead, have your designated looter loot the shard. If there are any rares, be quick about determining who loots, after five minutes you are automatically ported off this island.
Check out this page for more pos updates and more information about shards.
For completing snow chain, and/or being in the kill group for the Contruct, head to The Storyteller in Baga Village NE to obtain faction points.
Quest Name: Sun Chain Class: All Quest NPC: Location: Plane of Sky
UPDATED TO INCLUDE NEW POS MOBS. Mobs now drops shards, and new mobs spawn that drop shards. Read the All About Shards at the bottom of this walkthrough prior to starting quest.
Note: This chain is harder than the Rain Chain, particularily because the Imerzan Sycophants wander in groups and most see through invis. Bring 2,000 to cover the cost of the key BEFORE you port to PoS. Port up to Plane of Sky (druid or wiz port). From that main island, head n/w to a windmill; buy a sun key from Liztin Misseliania (fairy), outside a hut for 2000 tunar. From the Isle of Wonder port, facing Sarthet, the Essence of Day is behind you and to your left.
Sun1
Kill the Brightstar Fairies (CONs yellow
@60) until the Brightstar Princess spawns (CONs red
@60). The spawn rate on the Princess is fairly quick, and they spawn on top of the little walled areas. The Princess will drop only two keys so you will have to continue to kill the fairies to keep spawning the princess until all in your party have keys (or send a mage over and start cohing). Princess keys can also be purchased on auction.
Shard1: The Brightstar Princess will also drop one shard. ONE person should collect all 4 shards.
Sun2 This island has a huge castle surrounded by a moat. Run up the ramp, and then up one of the towers to find Master Fiharaz, who is a giant efreeti. He will happy to open the secret door for you but first you must kill 3 imps, and return with ONE talisman. Only one person is required to log the quest.
Go back out down the ramp, and a little ways off you will con 3 Imerzan Sycophants. Slay all three and loot one talisman and return to Master Fiharaz. (Note: If you are working on the level 59 Lava Storm quest, the Priestess is in the tower in Master Fiharaz's castle)
After speaking again with Master Fiharaz, he will open an invisible wall for you to pass through. Go down to the bottom of his tower and cross the courtyard to another tower, there is a small ramp there that goes no where - that is the invisible wall. Work your way down thru the ramps and bridges.
The Imerzan Sycophants mostly see through invis, so it is best to kill your way in. Don't open boxes as most are empty. Slay them, and slowly keep moving forward so if they spawn they'll spawn behind you. Clear the room where they congregate, and move in and clear some more (this was tricky, we did with 2 groups, one tank). In the room with parallel bridges, stay away from the edges as it will crit you for 6k.
After the bridges, turn down the hallway on your right and you will see your end mob named Imerzan (CONs red
@60). Keep clearing the room and moving forward and kill and loot Imerzan. It will drop 8 keys which will allow you to advance to the next island.
Shard2: Imerzan will drop one shard, the Shard of Beaming. Make sure the SAME person loots all shards.
Sun3
The mobs on Sun3 have wicked AoE mana taps, so bard/enc helpful, and/or ensure group is hidden from AoE. Kill Whispering Winds (CONs white
@60) to spawn Whistling Winds (CONs yellow
@60). Kill Whistling Winds to spawn Wailing Winds (CONs red
@60).
The Wailing Wind will drop FOUR keys. Repeat process for as many keys as you need. Shard3: Torrential Wind will spawn after Wailing Wind is killed - he drops the Shard of Glimmers.
Sun4 Per Mob Resists ensure you have max AR/PR. The mobs have a nasty DoT and the resistances will help. Note: If you are working on the level 59 Lava Storm quest, the Pristine Drake can be found here.
Rapacious Drakes serve as a place holder for the Rancorous drake. Farm the drakes until it appears. Killing the Rancorous Drake will trigger an astral essence on the other side of the island. The Rancorous drake will drop one key, farm it as many times as you need for people to port over through the astral essence. Shard4: Randarin the Relentless will spawn after you kill Rancorous Drake. Kill him to loot one Shard.
Once everyone has their keys and ports through the astral essence, speak with the Manifestation of Dreams to ensure that you have been flagged. Congratulations you have successfully completed the Chain of Sun!
ALL ABOUT SHARDS
Make sure the SAME person loots all 4 shards that drop on the Sun chain!! ONE person will need all the shards to spawn the Construct of Radiance later.
Now, what about those 4 shards you looted? When your raid group is ready, you take your four shards to the main Island (where you originally bought your sun key). Head east towards the edge, and you should be able to con the Astral Light (if its up) which CONs red
. Don't speak to the orb until everyone is ready! Once you speak with it, and turn in all your shards from sun chain (yellow shards), it will conduct an AOE port and everyone there will be ported to a NEW PoS island. Don't cast pets before hand as each pet counts as a person and the port will only take 16 people.
Once on the island, get set up. Once ready, speak to the Astral entity to spawn the Construct of Radiance. It looks like a huge fire elemental, and there is an AoE to beware of. CS did this with 2 groups very easily.
Now to explain about the shards. While ONE person has to collect all the shards as you progress through Sun chain (in order to spawn the end mob), a different person can loot the big boss named Construct mobs.
For completing the Sun Chain, and/or being in the kill group for the Contruct of Storms, head to The Storyteller in Baga Village NE to obtain faction points
Higher-level adventurers can traverse the island chains for new artifacts and new rare loot. The artifacts can be used on a new astral essence that has just appeared on the main island that transports the adventurers to new challenging bosses. You have to wonder though... why is this appearing now? What's behind it? This was one of the storyteller's favorite places, so he wants to hear every detail.
Complete a PoS chain, ensuring one person keeps all the shards along the way. Use the shards with the Astral Light on PoS to spawn the associated contruct with that chain. Again, one person should keep each of the construct shards as they are used to spawn the new PoS twins:
Chain Boss # of Shards to collect from chain: Sun Chain Contruct of Radiance 4 Rain Chain Contruct of Storms 5 Night Chain Contruct of Shadows 5 Snow Chain Contruct of Frost 3 Desolation Chain Contruct of Sorrows 4
Turning in a shard from each construct will allow you to spawn the final twins, Talon and Bulwark. Note: they debuff resists plus stats.
Important note on shards. Think you have to do the chains all over again to loot the chain shards to spawn the constructs to loot the construct shards to spawn the new twins? Read this: You actually don't have to do the entire chain over, and collect the shards, to spawn the construct. Once you've done a chain, and completed it, looted all that chains shards, and killed the related construct, speak with Wibble Gninogin in POS (by where you buy your keys) and he will sell you more shards to spawn the construct for 5k. This is repeatable again and again. So to re-do the pos twins, you just need to re-do the five constructs. Note: Crimz says that AFTER you turn in your shards to the astral light, to spawn the construct, this is when you become flagged to re-purchase the shards. The flag does not come after you kill the construct. So if you spawn the construct and fail, it's all good, just head to Wibble and buy more and try again.
Tanking Data from Blackpearl: Veeshan's Bulwark - Extremly high defense, swinging between 900-1200 on a 6850 AC Defender, AoE 2000. At least 2 stack CL's and 2-4 Necromancers needed to keep a 13200 HP, 6850 AC and all resists maxed Defender alive. Talon's Veeshan - Very little HP's, swinging extremly hard, 2500s on a 6850 AC Defender, AoE 2000. At least 4 stack CL's and 3-4 Necromancers needed to keep the MT alive and the MT need extremly high HP and AC. Im raiding with 13200 HP's, 6850 AC and all resists maxed and even I got all the way down to 1 red at one point. Talon is definitely a beast, swinging as hard as Rallos Zek himself. Bulwark much easier, a little harder than Norox and QoV so most should be able to tank him. Info from Beowoulf, Cosa Nostra CLW: ..Talon has a decent size AoE that has about a 180 FR debuff on it, and the AoE is FR as well, (3500 dmg I believe). Bulwark has the same AoE but its CR in both the debuff and the dmg.
CS says: Couple of administration points to clarify as well:
RIP: After killing Bulwark or Talon they despawn fast, within 5 minutes (and then you're ported off the island). There is not time to sort out ntl loot. Bulwark drops 4 NTL scales, and Talon drops 2 (TY Gonzales) and sometimes the NTL PoS gem (PoS self port). Make sure your raid force rolls for these BEFORE you engage the mobs or you'll never have the time to do after; they'll despawn without being looted. Everything else that drops is tradeable so have guildmaster loot and sort out rolls for loot later.
Whoever loots the scales can turn in to the Storyteller faction. Just speak with Wibble on the main PoS island first (TY RigorMortis), he gives you 100million xp also, then head to The Storyteller for 50 faction.
